When you listen to Shemar Pierre you’re stepping into a world. You’re transported somewhere.”
Shemar Pierre didn’t start making music until the end of college—but his creative instincts were already well developed. With a bachelor’s degree in animation and a strong design background, he approaches music the same way he approached visuals: as a form of storytelling and aesthetic exploration.
What began as a passion project quickly evolved. Treating songs like designed experiences, Pierre merges sound, style, and emotion, drawing from his love for the art as a fan first. His work isn’t just music—it’s world-building, built one track at a time.
ISAIAH B — hey shemar! thank you for taking the time out of your day to talk to us. how have you been lately?
SHEMAR P — Life is so so full. The highs & the lows. I’m grateful for it all.
ISAIAH B — Definitely, let’s talk a bit about the highs, you just had an amazing show in New York last week? how did this come about?
SHEMAR P — Yes! I’m so happy with the turnout. The goal was to bring together crowds from different scenes in the city for something new and refreshing. It was me planting my seed in NY.
SHEMAR P — I wanted there to be a level of androgyny so you didn’t really know what you were walking into. You feel me?
ISAIAH B — Yes it was an electric vibe there for sure, like no one knew what was next!, for some of our new readers that could be hearing about you for the first time, what makes your sound and aesthetic different from others artist in the industry?
SHEMAR P — When you listen to Shemar Pierre you’re stepping into a world. You’re transported somewhere. When you watch the videos. When you attend the shows. You’re leaving the outside world for a moment.
The sounds are just as cinematic as the visuals. & I try to make the shows an immersive experience for everyone regardless of if you know what your walking into or not
ISAIAH B — I could tell first hand that it was going to be an experience! so Shemar, let’s take it back to the beginning .. what made you want to be an artist that influence so many people in the world? was it always in you from the start or was this calling something that developed over time?
SHEMAR P — I have been an artist for as long as I can remember but I didn’t start making music until the end of college. I have a design background and a bachelor’s degree in animation. Music is fairly new to me and I approach it as design and more importantly as a fan
If I’m going to step into a new art form I would like for it to hold weight. I want it to push boundaries and challenge both me and the masses. Inspire and be inspired is my meaning of life
ISAIAH B — I think that’s so important as an artist to be multitalented in different fields. Love that you’re also a fan of music!, who’s some artists you listen to? and has anyone influenced your sound?
SHEMAR P — Growing up I was heavy on linkin park and kid cudi. Ye of course has a big influence on me. Just as an all around artist and my mindset. But I’m truly inspired by film
I want my work to create pictures in your head. I want to make movie music
such a creative way of thinking! I feel like you’re more connected with the artist when the music creates pictures, memories. etc
ISAIAH B — with your early success, what advice would you give an upcoming artist that’s just starting out? advice that you wish you would’ve known early in the game?
SHEMAR P — Competition happens at the bottom. Collaboration happens at the top. Find people who connect with what you are trying to do and stick with them to uplift one another. Only competition is yourself. You can only fail when you give up. Believe in yourself so much it makes small minded people uncomfortable
ISAIAH B — Great advice! Shemar it feels like you have your hands in everything lately! You recently modeled for 424 show in Paris? How was that experience?
SHEMAR P — Yes that was my first time in Paris. I modeled for the show and worked with my producer BCLARK to design the soundtrack for the show with reference tracks from Yasin Bey. I also had the honor of preforming at the after party at Silencio later that night
Fever dream
In the best way
I knew Paris would understand
ISAIAH B — Mann that’s beyond fye! Love seeing everything going great for your career man! What’s next for Shemar Pierre? What should we be looking forward to this year from you?
SHEMAR P — Expect to see more performances and collaborations with artists that inspire me
New visuals, new music, new performance art pieces. New new new!
ISAIAH B — Definitely rooting for you here at creativeface! So inspiring, I just want to thank you for taking the time out to talk to us. Your story inspires us all!
SHEMAR P — Thank you again for giving me the platform to share. It means the absolute world to me
